Nova Public Copyright and Work Use Statement
Nova Public Copyright and Work Use Statement
Nova is a decentralized, open ecosystem without traditional "team" or "company" ownership.
All text, designs, and images displayed on the Nova platform and official website fall into the following three categories:
Material from the public domain or under open licenses (such as CC0 and CC-BY)
These materials may be freely used, reproduced, and recreated.
Original sources are cited whenever possible for reference and to honor the original authors.
Nova Community Original Works
These works are released under the CC0 public domain license by default and are free for anyone to use.
Authors who wish to retain personalized attribution or exclusive rights may voluntarily mint their work as an NFT, with the on-chain address serving as the sole proof of ownership.
Works from third parties with copyright restrictions
If cited for educational, commentary, research, or non-commercial display purposes only, please cite the source.
If the copyright holder objects, Nova will cooperate in removing or replacing the work.
Nova's Principles:
Oppose copyright monopoly and advocate for creative freedom and fair sharing.
Respect the author's attribution and ownership rights.
Encourage all participants to mint their creations into NFTs, permanently storing them on the blockchain, ensuring that the work belongs to the creators.
Nova Creation and Storage Guidelines
(Applicable to the NovaScroll NFT Contract)
1. What is NovaScroll?
NovaScroll is the Nova ecosystem's on-chain memory scroll (NFT Scroll), used to record everything happening in the Nova world—ideas, art, science, technology, inventions, stories, music, and more.
Anyone can mint their creations into NovaScroll NFTs, permanently storing them on-chain, and independently decide whether to sell, set prices, and distribute revenue.
NovaScroll is not a centralized platform, but rather an open, free, censorship-free, and anti-monopoly digital creation library.
2. Who can publish?
Anyone, without registration or approval.
You don't have to be a core member of Nova; just a commitment to the principles of open sharing and creator rights is sufficient.
3. Supported Creation Types
Text (articles, papers, poems, manifestos, code documents, etc.)
Images (illustrations, photography, posters, UI designs, etc.)
Audio/Music (original compositions, soundtracks, podcasts, etc.)
Video/Animation (short films, experimental videos, etc.)
Programs and Code (DApps, smart contracts, algorithms, etc.)
Multimedia Hybrid Works (interactive art, VR scenes, etc.)
4. Project Creation Process
Preparing Your Work
Make sure you own the copyright or have obtained a public license (CC0 / CC-BY / Public Domain).
If your work includes multiple contributions, please clearly indicate the attribution and profit sharing ratio in the description (this can be agreed on-chain).
Uploading to Off-Chain Storage
It is recommended to use decentralized storage (IPFS / Arweave) to upload the file and record the CID (hash).
Calling the NovaScroll Contract
Enter the work title, description, off-chain storage address (CID), optional price (ETH/Novium), and profit sharing plan.
Pay the contract minting fee (fixed cost, directly deposited into the Nova public fund pool).
Confirm on-chain upload
The work will generate a unique NFT token ID, which will be recorded on NovaScroll, allowing anyone to verify the original author.
5. Revenue Model
Direct Sale: Set a one-time selling price, and the NFT will be transferred to the buyer's wallet after payment.
Limited Release: Set the number of units to be released, and each NFT sold generates revenue.
Royalty Sharing: Subsequent transactions automatically share a share of the profits with the author according to the smart contract (default 10%, customizable).
Donation Support: Supporters can transfer donations directly to NFT holders.
6. Copyright and Usage Rights
Default License: CC0 Public Domain License (free use and reproduction without attribution).
Optional License: Authors can customize the license terms (CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, etc.) and declare them in the work description.
NFT minting itself is a "claim of ownership," and the on-chain address is the creator's unique identifier.
7. Special Benefits
Select outstanding works will be selected by the Nova Review Committee and added to the Nova Archives permanent collection.
Holders of these works will receive a Nova Honor NFT and special privileges within the Nova ecosystem (such as governance voting weights).
8. Why use NovaScroll for proof storage?
Permanent records, never lost (decentralized storage + on-chain indexing)
Autonomous pricing and revenue generation, no platform commissions
Transparent copyright, no risk of plagiarism or tampering
Linked to the Nova ecosystem, receive additional governance rights and honorary rewards
NovaScroll is the memory and soul of Nova.
Every work is an imprint on the future world.
